ChamberDestroy is co-produced by TENMC and  The Music Gallery  in collaboration with Ensemble Paramirabo-EP (Montreal). Our program features world premieres for double sextet by Nicole Lizée and Yaz Lancaster alongside works by Louis Andriessen and Julius Eastman unspecified ensemble.

Digital Series

Thin Edge New Music Collective’s digital multimedia series “Soundbites” has been several years in the making and includes three different music videos highlighting the music of composers Linda Catlin Smith, Carolyn Chen, and Jessie Cox with videography by Ella Morton, Triple Pointe Media (Stelth Ng) and Soundstill Production (Tim O'Reilly) and performances by TENMC musicians.

We are thrilled to announce the release of TENMC's first solo album, Dark Flower on Redshift Records- featuring the music of revered Canadian composer, Linda Catlin Smith. Our album will be released digitally on Nov 10, 2023, and we will celebrate with an album release concert/party at Array Music on December 21, 2023, featuring world premiere performances, including the Toronto premiere of the album namesake Dark Flower (2020), for piano quartet. Our event will also be a fundraiser for TENMC, with raffles, auctions AND a holiday party, including seasonal treat and bevvies!

Join us for the 2nd edition of Reverb, the final in-person concert of TENMC's 2022/2023 season. Our programme will showcase works by Romain Camiolo (Montreal), Nasim Khorassani (Iran), Bekah Simms (UK/CA) and Jocelyn Morlock (CA) alongside world premieres by Luke Nickel (UK/CA), and Devon Osamu Tipp (USA). Reverb is designed to support artists from a variety of stages in their career through commissioning, premiering works that haven’t had the opportunity to be performed, and providing additional performances of existing compositions. Stay tuned in winter 2024 for the digital album drop on bandcamp!

Please join us for the first iteration of TENMC's newly minted Guest Curator series. Curated by the incredible Tkarón:to-based storyteller and multifaceted performing artist Olivia Shortt (They/Them: Anishinaabe, Nipissing First Nation), our concert will feature performances and works by two extraordinary artists, Kite (aka Oglála Lakȟóta performance artist, visual artist, and composer Suzanne Kite) and experimental composer, sound artist and creative technologist Trevor Van de Velde. Kite and Trevor will be joined by harpist, composer and improviser Grace Scheele and TENMC's own Nathan Petitpas on percussion.

Premieres X is the first digital concert of Thin Edge New Music Collective’s hybrid digital/in-person 2021/2022 season. We invite you to join us for the digital premiere of four exciting new works by visionary emerging composers Homa Samiei, Kimia Koochakzadeh-Yazdi, Matthew Ariaratnam and Paolo Griffin.

Premieres X is free to attend virtually, with the option to contribute a PWYC donation to TENMC through our Canada Helps Page.

Premieres is presented with generous support from the Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, Dream Cymbals, the Toronto Arts Council and the SOCAN Foundation.
